STEPS TO BECOMING A PROTECTION OFFICER
Complete a RSCW Cat 1 medical through a Sydney Trains approved medical centre.
Complete a RISI course & Protection Officer theory course at an approved Registered Training
MCR will provide the details of a mentor to help you complete your On Job Training
Arrange for a Protection Officer who is qualified in each task in your On Job Workbook to instruct and supervise you performing the task. After doing so, get them to sign the workbook indicating you have demonstrated competence
Attend MCR in house training to recap the basics and go through a range of different scenarios
Book & complete Protection Officer assessment with TfNSW
Receive ongoing MCR training and toolbox talks and be able to start working!
